I couldn't praise this accommodation enough, from start to finish the landlord and his staff were so helpful pleasant and professions. The village is beautiful, room was stunning, rain shower was heaven and some lovely touches, including a breakfast hamper and fresh milk in the fridge. I was by myself travelling for work and they even brought my dinner to the room. Nothing was too much trouble, thank you so much. I will definitely be back !

This was our first stay. We were very impressed with the whole experience. Staff were welcoming. The food both dinner and breakfast was excellent. The hotel sits in lovely grounds.
Our room, we booked a suite, The Ribble Suite was very comfortable with the most amazing four poster bed. Our only initial concern was the height of the base of the bed to get in and out of (we are in our seventies) however we coped admirably! The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was large with a bath and a walk in shower.
We couldn’t fault the hotel, would happily recommend it and we will return.

Everything. The food (beef brisket epecially) was exceptional
The best part would have to be the view! I love a good view and the pictures on the website don’t do it’s justice, when you get there and you see it for yourself it really does blow you away (if you have an eye for views like me anyway!)

Clitheroe is a town full of interest to all those who wish to learn more about the industrial and social history of Lancashire valley mill towns. There are many old family businesses and shops, cafes and, of course, the fabulous Holmes Mill and its Bowland Bar and Brewery. A charming, thriving and most engaging town - with a castle!

Clitheroe is a lovely town with local shops, pubs and restaurants. The castle and its grounds are worth the climb up the hill. The town is a good base for exploring further afield.
For those with walking difficulties, you should be aware that Clitheroe is on a hill and the streets can be steep.
For those liking wine, there is an excellent wine shop D. Byrne & Co to explore.

I was very frustrated prior to the visit I have been seriously ill and needed to talk someone re the rooms booked as currently have limited mobility I was unable to do this other than that everything was spot on
Market Lounge is a lovely property. The owners have taken great care to make it very comfortable and they provided some generous touches which were most welcome - cheese, chocolates, wine. The property is well located in the middle of Clitheroe so you have easy access to shops, cafes, pubs etc. THe property is very well maintained and decorated. Having car parking close was also very convenient. We can highly recommend this property and the helpfulness and accessibility of its hosts.
Location was good for attending a nearby wedding at Mitton Hall
We enjoyed a drink at the bar when we arrived around 9pm
Continental breakfast was limited but good enough
We used the taxi company advertised in reception, they are apparently affiliated with the hotel and were very good, picked up on time, return journey booked with them and they returned on time- around £18 each way
This hotel is in a beautiful location and is a hidden little gem .
Everything about this hotel was exceptional, the food , staff , rooms , cleanliness.
The staff are very welcoming and I found them helpful and accommodating.
I work away and stay in hotel’s regular, I also travel a lot so I have stayed in many hotels , this is really a find
The accommodation was fantastic and really spacious. The location is perfect for getting away from it all but still close enough to town for meals out etc. The views are wonderful, albeit we didn't have great weather,, but still enjoyable sat snuggled up in front of the fire. Had every facility we needed for our short break.
A very comfortable house, suited 3 old ladies very well with 3 good bedrooms. Clean, nicely decorated, roomy. Close to town centre, an easy walk to shops and restaurants. Finding a parking space in the street was never a problem. Nice to find milk and eggs there waiting for us.
The house is much bigger than it looks from the outside. It's situated in a quiet residential area, but only a short walk from the town centre.
There is a good chip shop and an excellent bakery/patisserie at the end of the road and the newsagents has to be seen to be believed!
The hotel was in a good location close to Clitheroe castle. A brewery, restaurants, shop, bowling and cinema all within a minutes walk from the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.
We had a lovely warm Lancashire welcome. The accommodation is lovely and spacious, perfect for a large family. Lovely views and a short walk into the town centre. Highly recommended.
